If I can remember rightly, I won Merry Midnight in a giveaway and it came all the way from America. It came out with the holiday collection in 2009 and about a year ago it was going for a ridiculous price of £25 on ebay. I really loved this polish so when I saw Orly's Fowl Play in a blog sale for a great price I knew I had to pick it up as a back up. I'll be posting a NOTD of Fowl Play on Thursday so you can see just how similar the two are.
The two polishes look exactly the same in the bottle but there are some slight differences. Although it isn't too noticeable once the colours are built up, the colour of the first layer of polish is very different. Fowl Play is much more purple where as Merry Midnight is more of a pinky purple. Both have a jelly formula but Merry Midnight only needs two coats whereas Fowl Play needs at least three.
Once opaque they look very similar and if you're not being picky you wouldn't notice a difference. Fowl Play seems to be slightly brighter and the flakies more orange toned as well as having more blue glitter in it.
