Project Sample Use Up 025

Kerastase Homme Daily Treatment Shampoo // Despite this being a shampoo for men, who says I can't use it? It worked just as well as your standard shampoo but I wouldn't buy the full size as I'm liking what I'm using at the moment.

Laura Mercier Vanilla Amber Body Creme // This scent started to become a little bit too sickly sweet the longer I used it so I think if I was to buy this cream again I'd go for a different scent. I hoping another LM set will go into the Space Nk sale like it did last year!

OPI Nail Polish in Don't Know Beets Me // This is your standard pink creme polish that I used on my toes a lot last summer. No matter how much nail polish thinner I used I just couldn't get it to go back to how it's meant to be so it's time to throw it away. I think I've had it for like six years or something so it's about time!

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream x2 // I really don't get the hype surrounding this product and didn't think it was anything special. It worked well but took a long time to sink in especially if I was a little heavy handed when applying it. I have other products that work a lot better than this so I'm glad I never bought the full size.

TRESemme Keratin Smooth 7 Day Smooth System Heat Activated Treatment x2 // You apply this treatment to towel dried hair and then straighten your hair to activate it. You'll then be left with smoothe frizz-free hair that it meant to stay straighter for longer. The directions say to apply the whole sachet but despite having very long hair, I found this too much and probably only used about half. If I was to apply anymore then my hair would have felt very sticky. Although I curled my hair after this instead of straightening it, I can't say I noticed much difference to my hair which was a shame.

TRESemme Renewal Hair & Scalp Nourish & Renew Shampoo & Conditioner x2 // I quite liked this shampoo and conditioner but I don't think I'd buy the full sizes of either.

Living Proof Full Thickening Cream // I was a bit disappointed in this thickening cream as I didn't notice a difference after applying it.

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser Skin Conditioner // I've already finished the full size bottle of this body conditioner and went to repurchase the other day but I couldn't find it in Asda. I don't have to apply a body moisturiser after using this which is always a bonus to me so I'll pick another bottle up next time I'm in Boots.

Beautannia Brighton Bath & Shower Gel x2 // I was disappointed with the scent of this, it smelt like your traditional "old lady" scent and I really didn't like it.

Phyto Phytobaume Hydration Express Conditioner // I really want to try more Phyto products and I really liked this conditioner. It's extremely moisturising and I already have a 50ml tube to use.

  2. Wow, you're so good using up all your sachets. I always tell myself I'll try them out but have a huge stash of them hiding on a shelf. I'll have to follow your lead and get testing!

    1. This lot was quite easy as most of them were just one use sachets :) xx

  3. I'm such a hoarder when it comes to samples....I think it's the best way to find new products. I agree the LM Vanilla Amber is on the sweeter side, but it last long!

  4. What was it that made you decide to curl after the keratin treatment? So annoyed as I desperately hoped it would work to save me the bill of the salon version (which works like a dream on my hair!).

    1. It might work for you, still give it a try! I've got another sachet, I could pop it in the post for you??? When I curl my hair and want it curly all week for work I always straighten it before I curl it. My hair is naturally frizzy so if I haven't straightened it before curling and a drop of rain touches it then it just frizzes up and looks a mess :) xx

    2. Sounds like your hair is similar to mine actually, though the back has a completely different mind of its own (which the salon treatment tames). I think I may have a sachet kicking around at my Mum's place but I've got your email now and if it's not there I'll message you to see if you still have it? So kind :) xx
