May Beauty 2014

may 2014 skin care diary rottenotter rotten otter blog 2Kate Somerville Eczema Therapy Cream // I was making an order for the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream and was just browsing the rest of the products when I came across this cream designed for eczema. For someone who has suffered form eczema her whole life I don't mind spending a bit more money on products as after a lot of trial and error I've found cheaper products just do not work. This is one of those products, it's not cheap but it works! Although there are cheaper creams that work just as well, think FAB Ultra Repair Cream and Lush Dream Cream, this is just a dream to apply. It feels incredibly light on the skin and sinks in instantly but it is extremely moisturising. It also really does help to soothe and heal eczema especially on a stubborn patch on my left that just wouldn't go away. I can see me finishing this tube pretty quickly at the rate I've been using it so far.

Liz Earle Eye BrightKiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado // These two products will be getting a mention in my monthly skin care post tomorrow so I'm not going to be talking about them too much. Let's just say they were both game changers in how the skin around my eyes is now compared to how it was at the start of the month!

Margaret Dabbs Intensive Treatment Foot Oil // This foot oil came in a little discovery set that I bought from Cult Beauty in the hopes of getting my feet somewhat prepared for being on show in the summer. This is my favourite product out of the set as it's more of a dry oil and I can apply this, let it sink in for a few minutes and then walk about and I wont slip and slide on my wooden floor. It also smells of lemons and lemon grass and is really relaxing to use after a bath. The spray bottle makes it really easy and mess free to apply as well, no worries or spilling oil everywhere.

Lady Gaga Fame Perfume // This is the perfume I've been wearing for the majority of the month and I've fallen back in love with it. When I first bought it I wore it everyday and used about half of the bottle but then I must have bought a new perfume and stopped using it. After finishing Elie Saab La Perfume I thought I'd bring it back into use. It lasts a pretty decent amount of time on my skin and clothes so is good for long days at work. I also love the bottle design and that the perfume itself is black.

  2. I keep putting off buying the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment for whatever reason but if it's really as much of a game changer as I keep hearing people saying I might pick one up over the weekend.

  5. The Kiehl's eye cream sounds lovely and I've had my eyes on it for a while now. I don't think I need an eye cream yet but I think I will pick it up in the winter when my skin is more dry. xx

  6. I really like reading your favorites posts because you're always talking about products that I haven't heard of, aren't talked about a lot, and sound incredibly interesting
